What is this tool?

It is a fun way to explore random galaxies in the universe visually.

Galaxies are some of the most tremendously large and beautiful objects in the entire Universe. It is only in the last hundred years that we have known there are other galaxies thanks to Astronomer Edwin Hubble who announced that the spiral nebula Andromeda is actually a galaxy in 1924.

We now know there are at least 2 trillion galaxies in the observable universe.

To make this tool I gathered a list of 39 named galaxies and approximately 80 other studied galaxies. It is a spectacular list of spiral, ring and polar-ring galaxies.
